throughout western Canada. We service customers in a variety of industries: Marine, Forestry, Mining,
Material Handling, Original Equipment Manufacturing, Agriculture, and Production facilities. We are in a
growing industry with a diverse set of skills and abilities that are critical in the operation of industrial and
mobile equipment throughout the country.
Our Leduc branch is currently searching for a Service Technician – Hydraulics to join our team. This is a
full-time position in the specialty field of hydraulics.
Service Technicians are responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, commissioning, rebuilding or
modifying hydraulic fluid systems, controls and components in the field.
Qualifications and Experience
3 years of hydraulics experience in an industrial setting. Experience in hydraulics with pumps, motors,
testing and setup.
Red Seal certification or equivalent experience (3+ years)
Machining experience is an asset
Experience reading and understanding Schematics and manuals
Knowledge of components and hydraulic systems used in industry and mobile equipment
Knowledge of Electromechanical and Instrumentation and Maintenance Technologies is an asset
Ability to follow, with detail, written and verbal instructions
Strong attendance track record with the ability to get along well with others
Ability to remain on your feet (standing or walking) for the majority of the workday
Weight handling up to 50 lbs
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
Responsibilities:
Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs
Teardown, inspect and produce a bill of materials of parts required to repair components
Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools
Assemble and test hydraulic components used in industry and on mobile equipment
Perform bench work including assembly and disassembly, modification, cleaning, measuring,
inspection and testing of hydraulic equipment
Installing, testing, repairing or rebuilding hydraulic equipment
Identifying and applying lubricants including oils, greases, graphite; installing lubrication equipment
and components
Reading and interpreting job specifications, blueprints, engineering or design drawings and
schematics
Communicate professionally with customers as and when required
Be familiar and follow all Health & Safety rules & regulations
