About the Role
As a CNC Machinist, you’ll be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machining equipment to manufacture, modify, and repair metal parts and components. This role plays a key part in ensuring production quality and efficiency while minimizing downtime through proper equipment care and proactive problem-solving.
Major Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC turning centres and CNC machining centres to produce products & parts to exact specifications
Machine, modify, and repair metal products using a variety of specialized machining tools
Monitor machining processes, adjusting feed rates and speeds to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Maintain quality control during the manufacturing process, and identify and correct issues proactively
Calculate dimensions and tolerances with instruments such as micrometers, calipers and gauges
Interpret and work from technical drawings that include GD&T
Clean, lubricate, and maintain machines and tools to ensure optimal performance
Follow all safety policies & procedures consistently
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience meeting the NOC 72100 requirements
Demonstrated focus on producing quality work on time and with precision
Strong English communication skills (Written & verbal)
Highly proactive, organized, and able to work independently to achieve the assigned tasks
Responsive, respectful, and capable of following directions to work within a team dynamic
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including GD&T
Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards
Ability to comply with company policies and procedures
Able to lift to 50 lbs unassisted
Capable of standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods (3+ hours)
