We are currently looking for an Journeyman Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certified in New Brunswick or Red Seal. This position will be based out of Fredericton, New Brunswick. We offer highly competitive wages, overtime opportunities, along with a strong benefits package.
Position Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that the plant is operational and downtime minimized through preventative maintenance, situational maintenance and equipment upgrades as well as Project Management, design and fabrication.
Key responsibilities will include:
· To ensure that the plant is in proper running order.
· Minimize / eliminate equipment related downtime.
· Maintain process equipment as required.
· Complete installations of maintenance and capital projects as required.
· Keep tools and other auxiliary equipment in an orderly and clean condition.
· Be proactive in identifying and advising on potential safety problems and/or repair.
· Maintain housekeeping standards (interior & exterior) for plant and site.
· Provide direction to subcontractors working on site.
· Troubleshoot technical problems and breakdown repairs.
· Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
Qualifications: Minimum
· Journeyman Millwright or Industrial Mechanic .
· Strong Mag and Stick welding capabilities.
· Good interpersonal skills. Be able to operate under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.
· Be able to prioritize maintenance requests based on current needs.
· Excellent problem solving skills.
· Adapt to a flexible work shifts during peak times and willingly assist other duties as required.
· Must be bondable
Qualifications: Desirable but not essential as training will be provided
· Training in Forklift Operation
· WHMIS
· Lockout tag out
· Welding ticket is an asset
· Formal training in preventative maintenance is an asset
· Experience in maintenance techniques, methodology and applications along with two recent years of related experience are an asset.
Working Conditions:
· Ability to work in very hot/very cold work environments.
· Dusty environment.
· Ability to work overtime, shift work and on-call
Location: Based out of Fredericton, New Brunswick
Mobility: Must be able to drive to work
