Electician Technician 309A or 442A Full Time

Pay: CA$43.00 per hour

Location: Strathroy, ON
Job Type: Full-time
Signing Bonus : 3000$
Shift: Day/Evening/Night (flexibility required)

Major Duties
Maintain a safe working environment: Performing duties in a safe, efficient and proper manner. Applying and meeting all applicable codes, standards and/or regulations when doing work.
Records: Prepare and maintain records in ERP system of program changes and electrical and mechanical upgrades. Maintain a daily record of work completed.
Maintenance Tasks: Maintaining and repairing plant equipment and performing preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities. Support all teams in crisis management situations i.e. breakdowns. Take part in the annual preventative maintenance requirements on the equipment.
Training: Participating in training and skill transfer programs for apprentices with regular review of the practical training progress.
Other duties as required including special projects as they arise.
Qualifications

Certificate of Qualification or Apprenticeship (Electrician) – Red Seal
Certificate of Qualification or Apprenticeship (Industrial Millwright) – Red Seal
Arc Flash formal training or at least 1 year of hands-on Arc Flash experience
5+ years of experience in a diecast, automotive, or manufacturing environment performing similar tasks
Skills & Abilities

Strong knowledge of troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Experience with PLC systems (RSLogix5000) and Motoman robots.
Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Familiarity with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and related regulations.
