Job Description:
Our growing Fire Alarm and Life Safety company is seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing fire alarm systems in various buildings, ensuring compliance with safety codes and regulations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills, the ability to troubleshoot issues, and a commitment to providing excellent service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
– Install, inspect, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
– Perform regular testing of fire alarm systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety codes.
– Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with fire alarm systems, providing timely and effective solutions.
– Respond to service calls and emergencies as needed to address system malfunctions or failures.
– Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure accurate installation and
repairs.
– Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and service calls.
– Ensure all work is performed in accordance with local, provincial, and national fire safety codes and regulations.
– Collaborate with other technicians, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
– Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and safety standards.
Qualifications:
– Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or in a similar role.
– Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, electrical systems, and safety codes.
– Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams.
– Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Strong communication and customer service skills.
Skills:
– Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
– Proficiency with hand and power tools used in fire alarm installation and repair.
– Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay: From $27.00 per hour
