A Crew Lead at Vista Tree Management is:
Capable of safely leading a crew in pruning, removal and hedging jobs
Someone who takes pride in their work and achieving goals
Loves to both learn and coach others
Brings a positive attitude and focuses on solutions
Attentive to detail and can provide clear oversight and direction
Prioritizes communication between team members
Participates in and supervises all aspects of the job
Respectful to staff, clients and the general public
Able to manage competing priorities and time
They must have:
At least 5 years experience in arboriculture and 3 in climbing
A D license or ability to obtain it – clear abstract, and no prohibitions
A firm grasp of current best practices in tree production, safety
The ability to apply arboricultural and safety best practices continuously
Commitment to high quality tree production
Knowledge of tree science basics and tree ID
An ideal candidate would also have:
Certified Arborist designation (ISA or Skilled Trades Ontario or equivalent)
Formal education in arboriculture, urban forestry or arboriculture
Chainsaw certificate, Working at Heights, Standard First Aid and CPR C

Work Details
Shop located in east end of Toronto accessible by TTC (closest to Warden)
35-50 hours a week
7am start time
Work in the City of Toronto on residential and commercial properties
All work is outside and occurs in varying conditions
